The School of Business and Leadership brought on two new faculty members this fall.
Dean Kenneth Rhee says, "We would like to welcome Chauncey and Joe to SBL. We are thrilled to add two highly qualified and capable faculty members to our group. Their enthusiasm and expertise will definitely enhance our programs and bolster our students’ learning."
After working as a financial analyst and senior forecaster for Procter & Gamble and teaching at three universities, Prof. Chauncey Joyce is sharing his love of finance with Nazareth students.
“I’m so passionate about finance because it is all about value creation," he said. "The field strives to add value to shareholders, stakeholders, portfolios, retirement plans, and more. For value to be created, we need to offer more than our costs. We can do that in the context of corporate investments, investments into stocks and bonds, and even in our personal daily lives — by striving to add more to the world than we take in.”

How can you make the best decisions?
Be informed by data. 
Prof. Joseph Porter, Jr., has joined our School of Business and Leadership faculty, sharing his expertise on business analytics, including discovering insights from data. “Analyzing what happened and being able to predict potential outcomes can help leaders choose the best strategy for competitive advantage,” he says.
He draws from his 26-year career at IBM, and has 5 years’ experience teaching elsewhere. “I am energized when I am able to help students succeed. I get a lot of satisfaction out of seeing students’ eyes light up when I explain topics that they once thought were extremely complex,” he says.
