Nazareth College has
named Jennifer S.A. Leigh, professor in the School of Management, the
Kilian J. and Caroline F. Schmitt Endowed Chair. This college-wide
chair, not restricted to a single department, rewards outstanding
faculty members by providing them with a two-year appointment to carry
out research, develop new courses, and prepare scholarly work for
publication.
As part of this opportunity, Leigh will use the chair to further pursue her research and teaching by co-hosting the 2nd
Nazareth College Social Innovation Hackathon this October, present at
global conferences on the topics of business and management education
and cross-sector social partnerships, mentor educators and PhD students
through institutes with the Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society and the International Humanistic Management Association, and edit a special issue in Business Ethics: A European Review on Grand Challenges in Developing Countries. Read her full bio here.
The chair was
established at Nazareth College in 1996 through the generosity of those
benefactors. The past appointees to the Schmitt Endowed Chair are
professors: Marion Hoctor, Christine Bochen, Candide Carrasco, John
Edelman, Matthew Temple and Laura Jones-Soehner.
